There are some cars that, when you see them cruising around on the highway, you can’t help but whistle to yourself and think, “Man, that’s a sweet car.” Now, I’m not one to suggest which cars might elicit such a response, but for the most part we’re talking about convertibles and muscle cars and sports cars and roadsters, all of which devote a lot of time and energy (and money) to styling. It just so happens that a lot of these cars also are really, really fun to drive, and Nissan’s 2011 370Z is an example of a roadster that’s extremely sexy, yet has energetic and entertaining performance as well.
It’s not exactly the kind of car that a Delray Beach Nissan dealer sells a ton of (mostly because those of us who want them have wives and children that require the purchase of more “practical” cars), but those who do find the money and, perhaps more importantly, the permission to purchase such a toy will find that it’s the sort of roadster that does a little bit of everything, and it does that everything quite well.
In the 370Z we’re looking at a hefty, balanced vehicle that packs a 3.7-liter V6 engine (hence the “370” in the vehicle’s name) capable of 332 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, and its six-speed transmission gives the vehicle a smart and exact handle. There’s a ton of punch in this vehicle, and the weight of the car gives it a great feel on the road. That’s a huge reason people will buy the car—because it’s an absolute vixen to drive.
But there’s another reason people buy this car from their favorite Nissan dealership—it looks awesome. I’m not urging you to make your consumer purchases only based on superficial things like looks, but come on, let’s face it. This is a gorgeous car. A little bulbous, but slick and speedy-looking, the 370Z might as well be wearing a sash and waving open-handedly down a catwalk. Add that beauty to all of the goodies under the hood of the car, and you’re staring a pretty solid automobile right in the face. Sometimes, fun is what it’s all about, folks.
